2020 GARDEN CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
Gracee Shriver

The 2020 Scholarship winner has been named in spite of the Covid-19 shutdown. Gracee Shriver was awarded this year's scholarship, and our President notified her by mail. Gracee will attend Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee in the fall, majoring in Business Music. She has become a local and national celebrity with her appearance last year on The Voice. She writes and performs her own music. Now she wants to understand the business side of her chosen career.

A portion of the proceeds from the Spring Festival goes towards this college scholarship awarded each year to an Owasso senior.

YARD OF THE MONTH
September 2019
Yard of the Month

This September, Mike and Leslie Peterson, residents of Barrington Pointe off 129th E Ave, were recognized by the Owasso Bouquet of Gardeners for their efforts in beautifying their landscape. Their home has a blend of flower beds, decorations and water features. Their plants include sunpatiens, cannas, hydrangeas, and hibiscuses. Their colorful flowers surround an assortment of bird ornaments and fountains throughout. The Petersons were surprised and happy to be honored with this recognition.

October 2019
Yard of the Month

October Yard of the Month was awarded to Kathy Smith who lives in Country Estates on 108th East Ave. Her yard is adorned with a variety of plants, flowers and ornaments; for the month of October she included festive Halloween decorations. Kathy enjoys working in her yard and creating a lively landsdcape for passersby to admire and enjoy. Her gardens include a variety of flowers, including impatiens, geraniums, Gerbera daisies and mums. Seasonal decor adds to the festive feel in her yard.
